What's Bagel?

A bagel is a round bread, with a hole in the middle, made of simple ingredients: flour, yeat, water, sugar and salt.  The difference between ordinary bread and bagel is that bagel is boiled and then baked.  This process gives peculiar chewy texture to bagel.  Chewy interior and crusty exterior are its character.

About Bagelier Bagels

Our bagels are made in smaller size, and are perfect to snack on!

We do not use butter, oil, egg, sugar nor milk in our bagels.  This means, they are low in fat, cholesterol and calorie as compared with other bread.  (Some bagels contain high fat foods such as chocolate and nuts.  Nutrition value depends on the flavour.)

Because of the ratio of ingredients, our bagels freeze well.  Wrap in plastic wrap and keep them in an air-tight container or freezer bag.  They can be kept for up to 3 months in the freezer.  Please do not store our bagels in the fridge or they will become hard and dry.

Bagelier bagels are individually wrapped in plastic bags.  In this way you can freeze and thaw one bagel at a time!

Please let us know if you would prefer bagels not to be individually wrapped.

Bagelier Bagels Storage and Serving Tips

Store bagels at room temperature in plastic bags or freeze immediately.  Refrigeraton hastens staleness.  Refresh bagels by slightly wetting the exterior and baking at 180 degrees C for 10 minutes.

Frozen bagels will keep for 3 to 4 months in an airtight bag in the freezer.  Pre-slice fresh bagels before freezing.

Please always TOAST bagel.

* Slice in half, toast, and spread cream cheese or your favorite condiments.  For bagels such as Green Tea Creamy Anko, simply toast in an oven or panini press and enjoy without spread (no need to slice in half)

* Basic flavour bagels (eg. plain) are great for making sandwiches.  Add some salad, meat or seafood and toast them using a panini press.

* Keep our bagels in your freezer and simply defrost and enjoy at any time.
