What's Bagel?

A bagel is a round bread, with a hole in the middle, made of simple ingredients: flour, yeat, water, sugar and salt.  The difference between ordinary bread and bagel is that bagel is boiled and then baked.  This process gives peculiar chewy texture to bagel.  Chewy interior and crusty exterior are its character.

About Bagelier Bagels

Our bagels are chewy, and little smaller than those bagels that you see in shops around Perth.

We do not use butter, oil, egg or milk in our bagels.  This means, they are low in fat, cholesterol and calorie as compared with other bread.  (Some bagels contain high fat foods such as chocolate and nuts.  Nutrition value depends on the flavour.)

Because of the ratio of ingredients, our bagels freeze well.  Wrap in plastic wrap and keep them in an air-tight container or freezer bag.  They can be kept for up to 3 months in the freezer.  Please do not store our bagels in the fridge or they will become hard and dry.

How to Eat Bagelier Bagels

Simply heat up in the microwave (about 10 seconds for one) with plastic wrap, or microwave cover.  Toasting give them better texture and crust.

* Simply eat as it is

* Slice in half, toast, and spread cream cheese or any of your favorite condiments

* Basic flavour bagels (eg. plain) are always good for sandwiches.  Add some salad, meat or seafood and toast them if you like

* Keep our bagels in your freezer and simply defrost and enjoy at any time.
