FAQ

Q. What is Bagelier?

A. Bagelier is an online bagel shop established in 2009, and has been supplying fresh hand-made bagels across Perth.

Online bakery means everything including taking orders and answering questions are done through the website and via email.

 Q. What is the difference between normal bagels and Bagelier's bagels?

A. Bagelier bagels are smaller than the bagels you see elsewhere in Perth, and our bagels have much chewier texture.

Our bagels are hand-rolled and kettle-boiled.  Plain bagels are made with just 4 ingredients - flour, molasses, salt and yeast.  No butter, oil, egg and milk are added, unlike some bagels you get from shops across Perth.

Q. How big is the bagel?

A. It is about 10 cm in diametre.  The weight varies depending on the flavor, but they are roughly between 90g to 120g.

Q. How will the bagels be sold?

A. They will be sold individually wrapped in plastic film to maximise the freshness.

Q. How to eat Bagelier bagel?

A. For Plain bagels, slice in half and toast using a bread toaster or bake a whole in the oven for 5 minutes.  You can then add fillings to make sandwiches or simply spread cream cheese on each side to enjoy.  When making a sandwich, you can also add the filling then toast using a panini press.

Cream cheese is the most common spread on toasted bagels.  Other popular spreads are honey, butter, other cheeses and jam.

Q. How should I store them?

A. Store bagels at room temperature in plastic bags, or freeze them immediately.

Do not refrigerate bagels as it will hasten staleness.

Refresh a frozen bagel by simply dipping in a bowl of water or under running water, then put it in a hot oven at 180℃ for 10 minutes.  More you bake, more crusty it gets!
Frozen bagels will keep for 3 to 4 months in an airtight bag in the freezer.  Pre-slice fresh bagels before freezing.
